It is our first online, shared-world game: a persistent kingdom where construction, research and journeys continue over time, in a world you share with other Wardens. No ads and no advertising IDs, and you can start as a guest without an email.

Yes. Empirewake is free to play in the browser and free to download on Google Play. It offers optional in-app purchases of Crowns, which can be spent on Treasury goods such as additional construction and research capacity or temporary protection. There are no ads and no subscriptions.

Right now in any modern desktop or mobile browser at empirewake.xxi.online, with nothing to install. The Android app (Android 8.0 or later) is live on Google Play. The app for iPhone and iPad (iOS 15 or later), which also runs on Macs with Apple silicon, is coming to the App Store.
Can I play Empirewake offline?
No. Empirewake is an online game and needs an internet connection. Your kingdom lives on our servers, so construction, research and journeys keep going while you are away, and the world is shared with other players.
Is Empirewake multiplayer?
Yes. Every Warden shares the same world map, the Reach. You can join or create a Banner, help allies with construction, contribute to shared research, send supply caravans, assemble expeditions, and talk through in-game mail and Banner chat. There are rankings and competitive interactions with other players.
Do I need an account to play Empirewake?
No. You can start as a guest without giving an email address. If you link an email, you sign in with a six-digit code sent to your inbox, so there is no password to remember, and you can pick up the same kingdom on another device.
What kind of game is Empirewake?
A persistent fantasy kingdom builder and strategy game. You raise and upgrade your Keep, place buildings, roads and decorations, gather resources and study Lore. You recruit heroes, train infantry, ranged troops and cavalry, send Wayfinders to uncover the map, visit landmarks with their own stories, gather from resource sites and challenge neutral camps.
Does Empirewake have ads or tracking?
No ads, no advertising IDs, no ad targeting and no sale of personal data. Because it is an online game, your account and kingdom are stored on our servers. The Android and iOS apps ask once whether you allow optional usage analytics, which stay off unless you agree; the browser version uses none. Empirewake opened to the public in September 2026, in the browser and on Google Play. The App Store release follows.
What is the age rating for Empirewake?
Rated 13+ on the App Store. It contains fantasy combat and lets players communicate with each other through mail and chat. It is not directed at children under 13.
